ObTech sets up Technology Division headed by newly appointed CTO
Also announcing the appointment of Country Head for ObTech Philippines Singapore, 13 April 2009 - ObTech Asia Pacific, a global technology company, wholly owned by NEC Corporation Japan, announced the setting up of its new Technology division for the region. Based in Singapore, the Technology division is set up as a new business unit in ObTech to drive R&D efforts and innovation across Asia Pacific. The new business unit will focus on developing value-added enterprise business solutions to enhance ObTech’s ERP offerings to both SAP and non-SAP clients. Adopting a customer-centric approach, the unit’s emphasis will be on delivering best-fit solutions, tailored to specific customer requirements. The company is also pleased to announce the appointment of David Teoh as its Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to head up the new Technology division. David has been with ObTech since 2000 and has held various senior positions within the company. He last held the position of Group CFO for ObTech Asia Pacific. David is also credited for being part of the core team that has propelled the growth of ObTech in Asia. As CTO, David will play a key role in ObTech’s next phase of growth that aligns with NEC’s strategy for the company. ObTech has also appointed Raymond Chu as Country Head for ObTech in the Philippines. “Both David and Raymond have been with us for some time now. Their experience, expertise and certainly, their allegiance to ObTech will put them in good stead to contribute to ObTech’s next phase of growth”, said Mr Michael Lim, COO, ObTech Asia Pacific.
